Itinerary |
|
Day 1
Arrival to Moscow, meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel (4*). Free time.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Moscow including Red Square, Lenin?s Mausoleum, St.Basil?s Cathedral, Moscow University, Bolshoi Theater, Christ the Savior Cathedral, Tverskaya Street and the Arbat by car with English speaking guide. (Duration 3.5 hours)
Afternoon tour of the Kremlin, the Armory Museum (collection of Gold, silver, jewelry, Faberge eggs, carriages and Czarist thrones), and cathedrals with English speaking guide. Dinner. Free time.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour in the famous metro of Moscow.
Chose for you or your group one or two of the following museum to visit in the afternoon:
- Victory Park (memorials of the Patriotic War of 1812 and World War II)
- Kolomenskoye (summer residence of Czars since the time of Ivan the Terrible)
- Tretyakov Gallery (Russian fine arts from the X to the XX century)
- National History Museum (the Russian history until 1900)
- Contemporary History Museum (The Soviet Times)
- Pushkin Fine Art Museum
- Moscow Museum of Modern Art
Among many others.
Dinner and Banya (Typical Russian Sauna) at ?Sandunovky?. Sandunov Banyas were built in the 18th century and are named after Sila Nikolaevich Sandunov - the actor serving at the court of Ekaterina II in the 1790s. They are the oldest of their kind in Moscow and of authentic design of the 18th century.
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Sergiev Posad, a traditional orthodox center, graced by the magnificent Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, with a blue and gold dome. Built in the 14th century, it was the official seat of the Patriarch for many years, even under communist rule. It holds a wonderful collection of icons.
After the excursion time for souvenir shopping. Farewell Dinner.
Show at the famous Bolshoi Theater
Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Transfer to the airport.
